This exhibition explores the impact of World War 1 on the lives on New Zealand children, and the expectations placed on them by the adult world. Children's activities came to be at the service of the war effort. They fundraised, knitted, and wrote letters to the troops - and their recreational reading also became heavy with patriotic feeling.
