Mass in B minor, Johann Sebastian Bach, commemorating 1914.

Following the moving and memorable Mozart "Requiem" of December last, the Aorangi singers join Ensemble Polymnia for a second time to sing this masterpiece of oratorio repertoire.

Featuring soloists Emma Roxburgh (Soprano), Sarah Harris (Alto), John Murray (Tenor) and Benson Wilson (Bass, 2nd prize in the 2014 Lexus competition).

Leading the orchestra is Amalia Hall, with Margaret Cooke and Myles Hartley forming the Continuo line.

We are commemorating the Centenary of the start of World War One, and in our programme include three war poems by Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon, read by actor and director Raymond Hawthorne.

Conductor Sarah Bisley returns to the podium, after the recent success of Ensemble Polymnia in "Classic & Romantic".

An occasion not to be missed!

Proudly sponsored by Tasteful Tours, the Waitemata Local Board and Creative Communities Auckland.
