2014 marks the hundredth anniversary of the beginning of the Great War, a conflict never to be forgotten. Evoking powerful and emotive extremes, this concert by the RNZN Band will pay tribute to New Zealand’s past and present while looking forward to a peaceful and positive future. With Navy Band vocalist Rebecca Nelson, this concert will be a varied, entertaining and moving tribute to those who served and died in the service of their country.
Conducted by Lieutenant Commander Owen Clarke, the Royal New Zealand Navy Band is one of the principal military bands in New Zealand. Made up of 30 of the country’s best wind, brass and percussion players, the Band will also be joined by brass musicians from Auckland’s top Brass Bands for a special feature work “Lonely Beach” by James Barnes and then for a combined finale.
Don’t miss this concert – you will be blown away!
