On August 4th 1914, Great Britain declared war on Germany. Come and meet some of the Lyttelton locals who heeded the Empire’s call and left their work and homes to travel to the far side of the world to serve their country in WW1.
This is the first exhibition by the Lyttelton Museum since the earthquakes. The Tin Palace are delighted to be working with the Lyttelton Museum to help commemorate the centenary of World War One.
