The hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War is an opportunity for commemoration and reflection. Organized by the Waikato Museum and the University of Waikato, the Great War Lecture Series brings together experts in the fields of military history, peace research, politics, and the history of ideas. Focusing on the local as well as the international dimensions and consequences of the Great War, the lectures cover a wide range of aspects of this major event in modern history.
