Curator of Great War Stories, Chris Rapley, will give a floortalk at Rotorua Museum on Sunday 20 July 2014 at 2pm.

Chris will talk about the development of the exhibition, working with the community and discovering the powerful stories behind the chosen objects.

As part of New Zealand’s one hundred year commemorations of World War One, Great War Stories reflects on World War One through stories and objects shared by Rotorua families.

Chris Rapley is part of the Museum’s Collections team and has a passionate interest in the history of WW1. Before coming to Rotorua he spent eight years at the National Army Museum in Waiouru.

Great War Stories is on at Rotorua Museum from 2 July until 2 November 2014.

Entry is included with Museum admission. Adults $20, seniors $18 and children $8. Entry for Rotorua residents is free with appropriate ID.
