Come and create crocheted poppies at Rotorua Museum as part of our World War One centennial commemorations.

The Rotorua Yarnbombers will be here to help visitors make these simple poppies with all materials provided.

We will put all the poppies together to create a large display for ANZAC Day 2015 - the centenary of allied troops landing at Gallipoli.

People and groups can continue to make and donate crocheted poppies throughout the months leading up to ANZAC Day to include in the display.

For further information contact Naiomi Murgatroyd, phone 07 351 8055 or email

Participation in these poppy crafts is free with Museum admission, which is free for locals Rotorua residents with relevant ID.
