The Palmerston North Choral Society takes great pleasure in presenting, in its 96th year, a powerful programme commemorating Gallipoli, World War 1 and the sorrow arising from conflict. As well as anthems and hymns, choral works by two modern composers feature; New Zealand composer David Hamilton and Welsh composer Karl Jenkins.

Works to be performed include David Hamilton's Suicide in the Trenches, In Flanders Fields, A Lament, and A Call to Arms, a work in 6 movements. The second half of the programme is the work Stabat Mater by Karl Jenkins.
