Featuring a collection of postcards, letters, diaries, and official war correspondence written to and from New Zealand and the military camps, leave destinations, hospitals and battle fields of the First World War.

Letters from the front relay the experiences of local soldiers who left New Zealand's shores on what they thought would be a great adventure.

Letters from home tell the stories of the families and loved ones they left behind.

Photographs and personal memorabilia accompany the letters.
