A unique theatre experience is about to take place at Birkenhead College! Frontline Gazette is a fully devised production: a spectacle created from the research and imaginations of BC students from the tapestry of WW1 New Zealand history.

Don't miss the opportunity to witness a dramatic and, at times, comic story created from a fascinating montage of original scenes and tableaux that commemorate WW1. The show pays tribute to war heroes, the oft' remembered soldiers and nurses, and also the untold stories of the maritime navy, home bodies, crusading women and entertainers.

Frontline Gazette is not your typical theatre show; audiences will be moved between a variety of scenes that form the world of the war era. Dance parties, trenches, righteous women, pantomime comics and puppets, song and dance. Just like news fresh from the frontline this show is guaranteed to captivate you!

The performance season runs at Birkenhead College from 6th – 9th May, with shows starting at 7pm. Following the season at Birkenhead College, The Frontline Gazette will have 5 performances over the 23th - 25th of May staged in the authentic environments at Auckland Maritime Museum in the Viaduct Harbour.
