2014 marked the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One, The Great War.

The War involved many artists directly and this cataclysmic event profoundly changed the expression of the human condition expressed throughout art and society.

This talk, fittingly related to Anzac Day, is a consideration of the art and poetry evoked by World War I.

The speaker is Terry McNamara, NZ Herald art commentator.

Terry's formative years were under the shadow of both World Wars. This talk combines this personal experience with Terry's love of expression through both poetry and visual arts.
