Launch of the book; Tales of Three Campaigns by Col. Cyprian Bridge Brereton. One of the most significant WW1 books of the year.

Colonel Cyprian Brereton VD of Ngatimoto commanded the 12th (Nelson) Company of The Canterbury Infantry Battalion at the Battle of the Suez Canal; then at Gallipoli and finally after returning from a serious head wound, on the Western Front.

The book makes clear the dilemmas facing all commanding officer where military responses are played out against a background of concern for the men involved.

The event starts at 6pm and includes an address by Major General Gawn MBE Chief of Army and an introduction by editor John H. Gray.
