Come join us downtown for the official unveiling of “The Line of Fire” – a commemorative artwork by Hon Captain Matt Gauldie. A tribute to ANZAC artist, soldier and teacher Horace Moore-Jones, marking the centenary of the Gallipoli-Çanakkale conflict of the First World War, and recognising today’s spirit of collaboration between our communities.

10:30am: Civic Powhiri - Reception Lounge, Hamilton City Council, Civic Square
Midday-1:30pm: Statue Unveiling Event - Victoria Street

Dress Code: Medals may be worn. Serving NZDF Service Dress No. 1.

The statue site is in the Victoria Street median near Sapper Moore-Jones Place and opposite the heritage Hamilton Hotel site. This section of the street will be closed for the official unveiling ceremony.
