"The End of Empires and the Triumph of the Nation State? 1918 and the New International Order"

How did WWI redraw the world map? Visiting historian Dr Jörn Leonhard brings a global perspective to the University of Auckland’s centennial commemorations. This talk is presented in association with the German Embassy.

Dr Jörn Leonhard
Dr Leonhard is Full Professor in Modern European History at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He has written a broad range of history books, including a general history of the First World War completed at Harvard University.

This lecture will be held in the Auckland University's Clock Tower Lecture Theatre.
