Amongst the planes at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, Wigram, the Christchurch City Choir and Addington Brass join to present a free commemoration concert of WW1 songs and music, including the world premiere of a newly commissioned piece from Christchurch composer, Dr Philip Norman CNZM.

Awarded the Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2015 Queen's Birthday Honours, Dr Norman has made a significant contribution to many forms of music over the past 45 years.

The bugle will sound Reveille to start the concert at 2.30pm sharp.

Sing along with the WW1 and patriotic songs, enjoy music from Addington Brass, the commissioned Philip Norman work featuring the Christchurch City Choir and Addington Brass, a selection of music from the Choir, and military bugle calls throughout the programme.

Our thanks to the WW100 Lotteries Commission for the funding to commission and present Dr Philip Norman's work, Pro Patria.
