In September we will be closing our ANZAC project ‘Our Name Liveth, Commemorating Our Fallen’ in the main foyer.
To mark the closing of this project we will be hosting a public talk ‘Billy the Birdman’ by Kevin Soster. The talk will look at the military career and life of William Leefe Robinson who was the first British pilot to shoot down a German airship during the First World War. 100 years after the event, on Saturday 3rd of September 2016 at 11 am we will honour Leefe's memory and connection to Mid-Canterbury. All who attend are welcome to stay for a light lunch which will be served after the talk.
