Our 2016 season finishes in spectacular fashion with a major new work by Anthony Ritchie who has long been recognised as one of New Zealand’s most prolific and approachable composers. The concert features two favourite Dunedin singers both of whom have careers on the international opera stage: soprano Anna Leese and bass Martin Snell. They are joined by the City Choir Dunedin and the Southern Youth Choir. The first half of the programme features works that reflect the events and times of the First World War.
The conductor is London-based Simon Over and this is his second year as the orchestra’s Principle Guest Conductor.
