Archives NZ and the Alexander Turnbull Library, in association with the NZ Society of Genealogists, bring you this opportunity to find out more about the Measuring the ANZACs project. Perhaps you can help!

Measuring the ANZACs brings together an international team of researchers, community connections, and the power of the Zooniverse community to transcribe, explore, and analyse digitised original World War I personnel files from Archives New Zealand. The personnel files were created for the needs of the military at the time. They contain a wealth of information about social connections, economic attainment, and demographic behaviour and experiences, which make them internationally significant for research.

Lead researcher New Zealander Evan Roberts (now at the University of Minnesota) will talk about the project and how you can join family historians and scholars from around the world in the Measuring the ANZACs project.

All welcome.
