This exhibition illustrates in amazing images the building of the World War One War Memorial and the later relocation from Rose Street to Laurie Hall Park.
The planning, expertise and effort involved culminated on April 25th 2015 with the first Anzac Dawn Service commemorating the Whangarei District's Armed Forces held on the new site. The story of a local soldier, one who sadly did not come home, is also told with precious objects generously donated by his family.
The exhibition is included in general admission and will be the first exhibition to be held in the new Mim Ringer Gallery.
