On Tuesday 23 of February at 2pm heritage writer Ian Collins will be giving a talk at the Gallery on ‘The Fortunes of War: The military careers of two Canterbury WWI soldiers, Alan Stitt (originally of Ashburton) and Eric Hudson (later of Lincoln)’. Collin’s talk will look at parallels between both soldiers who took part in one of the WWI battles together and there are interesting points of contrast in their military careers.
Ian Collins is Heritage Writer in the Alumni & Development Office at Lincoln University. His professional background includes university communications, journalism, and Adult and Community Education tutoring.
