Artist Rebecca Holden, whose grandfather served with the Waikato Mounted Rifles in WW1, will talk about what moved her to make the commemorative artworks that form her exhibition 'Sand in the Apricot Jam'. And elaborate on some of the visual stories in her paintings.

Local historian Richard Stowers, who has written extensively about the Waikato Mounted Rifles, will join Rebecca to give some historical insight into the Middle East campaign the Mounted Rifles fought in in WW1.
