Fun for all the family. At the Pétanque Court, Cambridge Bowling Club/Thornton Club, Thornton Road.

Come along and celebrate the Cambridge-Le Quesnoy sister city connection on the 99th anniversary of Le Quesnoy’s Liberation Day.

Try out pétanque or have a go at ‘speed’ bowling. Kids try your hand at the French marble game “Jeu de bille”! Bring along a picnic and listen to the Cambridge Brass Band while you are munching.

And because you can't beat french food, it's going to be oh so delicious!

We have award-winning Cambridge french foodie business Apéro French Carte who will be launching at our event! You can have a tasting of Apero's Silver Award winning chocolate spread for free. Or purchase one of their French crêpes or other French delights.

(The Silver Award was recently announced at the New Zealand Chocolate Awards 2017, in the category: ‘Best Local Product Made Using Premium NZ Chocolate Brand’).

We will also be providing some free French sausages fresh from the BBQ - we hear they will be tasty, especially when paired with baguettes which have been kindly donated by Cambridge's Volare. Yum!

All welcome!
