Discover the amazing stories of two courageous New Zealand nurses and the soldiers they treated in World War I. The final of three talks by Kirstie Ross, curator of the Gallipoli: The scale of our war exhibition.

Lottie Le Gallais and Daisy Hitchcock nursed soldiers at the front during the First World War. (Lottie is also one of the ‘giants’ in the Gallipoli exhibition.) Hear about their experiences, and what life was like for soldiers in military hospitals.

Take a fascinating journey through some of the lesser-known Gallipoli stories. There will also be time afterwards to ask Kirstie questions.

After the talk, relax with a delicious Devonshire tea at Espresso cafe for $8.

You can also receive a 20% discount on all items at Te Papa Store, Level 2 – our specialist shop for World War I books and other merchandise.

This free public talk is part of the Inside Gallipoli: Talks, Tours, and Teas series 21 Aug - 1 Sep 2017.
