Join us for a symposium commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele.

In October 1917, New Zealand suffered one of its greatest tragedies. The Battle of Passchendaele marked the largest loss of life for New Zealand in any military engagement. Leading up to the 100th anniversary, join us to Remember Passchendaele and hear from academic Steven Loveridge, and Charlotte Descamps, founding member of the Passchendaele Society 1917.

This symposium brings together academic and author Steven Loveridge and Charlotte Descamps, founding member of the Passchendaele Society 1917, to share their insights into one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s greatest military tragedies.

Passchendaele 100 Commemorations are held in partnership with the Passchendaele Society and Massey University School of Humanities.
