This is the 100th anniversary year of the signing of the armistice treaty that saw the ceasing of the hostilities of World War One.

Commemorations across the globe will recognize the service and sacrifice of those caught up in the conflict and will celebrate, not a victory but the uncompromising hope of peace and the value of life in that moment and in us all.

Nelson will mark the occasion on Sunday 11th November 2018, in upper Trafalgar St, just as it did in 1918 in a free public event - Armistice 100–an End to War. Histrionics will perform a representation of the signing of the treaty - Armistice at Compiegne, during the event at - at 11.45am, 1.10 and 2.50pm.

Histrionics will portrayal the events around the signing of the treaty and tell the story of the end of the "war to end all wars": the nine delegates representing the allies and central powers, as they negotiate that hurdle towards peace and the soldiers who may have witnessed that significant occasion.
