At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Aotearoa New Zealand will mark the centenary of the Armistice that ended the First World War in 1918.

To commemorate this day Music Canterbury affiliates including Woolston Brass and the Christchurch City Choir present "Armistice Concert for Peace" on Sunday 11 November, 10.45am at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand.

Gather at the entrance to the museum by 10:45am in time for a march up by Woolston Brass followed by a minutes silence at 11am and a short commemoration service by the New Zealand Air Force.

Join us in the aircraft hall for a performance of "Pro Patria" conducted by Tyme Marsters and written by our compere Dr Philip Norman for the WWI centenary, followed by a free concert by local choirs and music groups.

This is a free event for all ages with free parking on the grounds close to the museum.
