Concert Tribute
The choir will pay tribute to our war heroes in song and readings. 11-11-1918 is Armistice Day – the choir will be presenting Messiah at this time, so we decided to make this concert our tribute to the brave men and women who fought in the war, those who supported them and those who remained at home.

Songs
A wide range of songs remembering our brave soldiers – When Johnny Comes Marching Home, In Flanders Fields, For the Fallen to name a few. Also the songs the troops often sang to raise their own morale – Abide With Me, O Holy Night.

The audience will be invited to sing Quartermasters Store, We’ll Meet Again and Now is the Hour with the choir.

Choir member, Elizabeth Small, will sing a bracket of Vera Lynn songs including everyone’s favourite, The White Cliffs of Dover.
