Where: Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Buckle St, Mt Cook, Wellington

Restrictions: All Ages

Ticket Information:

  • Admission: Free

To celebrate the completion of a four-year restoration of the National War Memorial Carillon we invite you to Pukeahu to hear national carillonist, Timothy Hurd QSM, playing the carillon bells at a series of free recitals. As the carillon is best heard from outside, we recommend you bring a coat to wrap up warm for the recitals.

While you're there, visitors to Pukeahu will also have the opportunity to take an in-depth look an have an interactive experience around the stories behind five of the carillon bells, dedicated by Wellingtonians in memory of those who died in the Great War.

You can explore the Wellington Bell Stories visitor display, donated by Wellington City Council, inside the National War Memorial.
